Cedar Falls raise money for sensory room

Lifestyle Co-Ordinator Jenny completed her tandem skydive on 6^th August 2023 raising money for Alzheimer’s Society and for Tanglewood Cedar Falls to make the upstairs sun lounge into a sensory room. Jenny did the skydive in memory of her Grandad James Peacock who sadly passed at Cedar Falls care home in 2018, Jenny now works with residents at cedar falls doing activities, she loves working with the residents doing different activities that they enjoy.

Something that she thinks the residents will benefit from is a sensory room, Jenny raised £545 for Alzheimer’s Society and a huge £601 for Cedar Falls.

Jenny said that the experience of doing the Sky Dive was amazing, the nerves got her with being there at 8:30am and unfortunately the wind decided to pick up which meant it got cancelled twice that morning but she finally jumped at 11:15am.

Jenny said ‘I would do this again for charity, it was amazing but scary, the free fall was the most scary part because the force of going 120mph just gets to you but when the parachute was pulled it was an amazing feeling just floating through the clouds with such an amazing view. I would like to thank everyone for all of the support they have given her it was very much appreciated.’
